Since 2014, Robert was an integral part of the Mackintosh Choir – always willing to do whatever was necessary to make sure that any rehearsal or concert was the best it could be.
Robert taught piano at Glenalmond College, the High School of Glasgow and coached MMus students of performance vocal studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. He conducted Carmen with Opera on a Shoestring and was musical director for their touring production “An Evening in Paris”, as well as assistant musical director with the Mamma Mia International Tour performing in Switzerland and the Philippines. it is traditional to rank them in order of orchestral score position. #Accompanist position series
Each December he gave a series of concerts with the Randolphi singers in Switzerland. He was the official accompanist for 10 years for the Festival International de Musique et des Arts de la Tour de France and held the same position at “Perform in Perth”.
He performed as a soloist pianist in concert and as accompanist for singers and instrumentalists. He was selected to take part in the Crear Scholarship Residency with Malcolm Martineau, comprising an intensive study of the voice and piano repertoire. Robert graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland having won all the duo and accompanist prizes, including the Principal’s overall prize.
